Kendra West Signs Letter-of-Intent to Attend LCSC and Play Basketball
LEWISTON, ID-
Kendra West of Jerome, ID, has signed a letter-of-intent to attend Lewis-Clark State College and play womens basketball beginning in the Fall of 2001. West becomes the second recruit signed by new womens basketball coach Brian Orr."Kendra is a perfect fir for our basketball program," said Orr. "Her success as a player is a direct result of her tremendous work ethic. She is a strong athlete who has a good understanding of the game and knows how to win."
West, a 6-0 post player from Jerome High, was a first-team All-State selection this past Winter. She was named Most Valuable Player of the Region and is was named first-team All-Region twice and led Jerome High to a second-place finish at the State Championships. Kendra averaged 11.0 points per game and ten rebounds per game.
She was also selected as a Basketball Congress International (BCI) All-America. She helped lead the team to four National Championships.
