Divilbiss Resigns as LCSC Women’s Basketball Coach

Lewiston, ID-Lewis-Clark State College announced today that Mike Divilbiss has resigned his post as the women’s basketball coach.  Divilbiss was named the new women's basketball head coach at the University of Idaho.

In 14 years at LCSC, Divilbiss has amassed an overall record of 310-122 (.718) and has led the Warriors to six consecutive National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) appearances in a row. This past season, L-C made it all the way to the NAIA Final Four, and have made three appearances in the Elite Eight, the last two years in a row. Divilbiss earned his 300th victory, February 3rd, as the Warriors defeated Great Falls, 97-53. The Warriors have also posted nine-straight 20+ win seasons, eleven in all, with Divilbiss at the helm. LCSC finished the 2000-01 season at 33-4 and won the Frontier Conference regular season title for the second straight year with a 12-2 record and also won the conference tournament.

The Lewis-Clark State women’s basketball program, under Divilbiss, has produced eight All-Americas and nine Academic All-Americas. Last year’s team amassed the 13th-best team grade point average in the NAIA ranks at 3.325. Six Warriors have also tallied more than 1,000 points in their career.

Lewis-Clark State College will begin their search for a new women’s basketball coach immediately.
