LCSC Routs Eagles, 63-44
CHENEY, WA--Sixth-ranked Lewis-Clark State College used a 29-8 run early in the second half to coast to a 63-44 rout over NCAA Division I member, Eastern Washington University, Tuesday night, in a non-conference women’s basketball game at Reese Court.
Brianne Kottwitz, of the victorious Warriors (4-1), led all scorers with 16 points. Katarina Gabaniova added 14 points, a game-high nine rebounds, and a career-high six blocked shots, one short of the school record. Kyla Harris added eleven points and seven boards.
Kathleen Nygaard came off of the bench to score 12 points for the Eagles (0-3). Allie Bailey tallied eleven points and recorded a team-high nine rebounds.
The Warriors held Eastern Washington to 24.6% shooting from the floor. The Eagles finished with more turnovers, 20, than made field goals, 16.
