Warriors Fall Two Spots to #24
LEWISTON, ID-The Lewis-Clark State College Warriors fell two spots to #24 in the latest NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Top 25 Poll released Tuesday, January 8th. Lewis-Clark State was ranked #22 in the last poll, released December 11th.
Lewis-Clark State (11-6, 1-1 Frontier) lost to then 18th-ranked Montana State-Northern, 77-75, last Saturday, and defeated Great Falls, 105-82 on Thursday, to open conference play. The Warriors will continue Frontier Conference action, at home, on Thursday against #8 Montana-Western (15-3), at 6:00 PM. L-C will close out the week on Saturday when they host Montana Tech (4-14).
Oklahoma City (14-0), then defending National Champions, still are the unanimous top-ranked team. Union University of Tennessee (12-2) moves up two spots and Southern Nazarene University (12-2)) also moves up two spots to #3. Oklahoma Baptist University (13-2) dropped to spots to #4 and North Georgia (15-1) moves up one to #5. The Sooner Athletic Conference has three teams in the top five.
Other Frontier Conference teams that are ranked: #16 Montana State-Northern (15-2) moved up two spots. Carroll College received one vote for the Top 25.
The next poll will be released January 15th.
