Warriors Re-enter Poll at #24
LEWISTON, ID-The Lewis-Clark State College Warriors women’s basketball team re-enter the NAIA Division I Top 25 Poll, released Tuesday, February 5th. L-C is ranked #24, their first ranking since being ranked #24 in the January 8 poll.
Lewis-Clark State (16-8, 6-3 Frontier) rolled past then-23rd ranked Montana State-Northern, 74-59, and then dismantled Great Falls, 108-69, last week. The Warriors will try to protect their ranking this upcoming week in games at Montana Tech and #4 Montana-Western.
The top five remain virtually the same, but there is one change. Southern Nazarene (20-2) remains atop the poll, receiving nine first-lace votes. Union University (22-2) is second, with three first-place votes. Defending National Champions Oklahoma City University (21-1) is third. Montana-Western (22-3) moves up to number four and Campbellsville University (21-4) moves up one to #5.
Embroiled program MSU-Northern slides out of the top 25, but receives eight votes. Rocky Mountain College picks up one vote.
