During the 1998 NAIA National Tournament, Amanda established herself as one of the premier point guards in the nation at any level. In the Warriors' second-round game against Sooner Conference Champion Phillips (OK), Amandas line score was 18 points, 19 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals. Those numbers won her the National Tournament Player of the Day award and the Warriors a first-ever appearance in the tournaments Elite 8 with an 88-61 victory. It also caught the eyes of two WNBA assistant coaches scouting the tournament. Amandas averages for the tournament were 12.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game. | |||||
| In one of the best womens basketball conferences
in the nation, Amanda led the PNWAC in assists (4.3), was fourth in steals (2.57), seventh
in rebounds (6.67) and ninth in scoring (12.2). She was also a first team all conference
selection for the second straight year. At the conclusion of the 1998 season, Amanda was
named NAIA Honorable Mention All-American. This season will present some dramatic changes
for Amanda. No longer will she be wondering, "should I look to score." With the departure of last years seniors, she realizes its time to step up. Look for Amanda to move over and play some wing position for the Warriors to utilize her quickness in the break. Our definition of leadership is merely someone who is willing to step up and make plays when plays need to be made both on and off the floor. Amanda will - and has filled the role beautifully throughout her career. |

| PERSPECTIVE: Amanda will be called upon to carry more of the scoring load this season. Shes a tremendous ball handler and floor leader. | ||||||
| PROSPECTUS: "Shes the best point guard in the country ... certainly at our level, maybe at any level. Shes a tremendous player. I dont have any doubt shes going to be a candidate for first-team Kodak and NAIA All-American and depending upon how our team does, NAIA Player of the Year." | ||||||
