1997-98 Player Profiles

Kelli Torrey #52 6.2 Soph. Post Vale, Oregon
PROFILE: Kelli, the daughter of Jack & Susan Torrey, graduated from Vale High school in 1995. During her senior year Kelli led the Vikings to a 22-0 regular season and a 23-2 overall record. During that season Kelli averaged 20.2 ppg and 10.5 rpg. She also had 63 blocked shots and 55 steals. After graduation Kelli spent one year at Ricks College. After sitting out one year she has decided to join the warriors program. Kelli is a very good post player. She can realy score on the block . Her 6’2" frame will really help give the warriors some much needed size on the front line. Kelli is majoring in Nursing.
PERSPECTIVE: After playing at Rexburg’s Ricks College for a season, Torrey sat out a year, and that puts her a tad behind. But she’ll pick it up soon and is expected to score well from the block.
PROSPECTUS: "She’s going to be a really good post player in our league. She’s very coachable, and she has skills you can’t teach. The things she needs to work on are the things all good players work on every day. When she plays at a high level of intensity, she’ll help us out quite a bit."
