LCSC
men’s basket-ball team signs two recruits
7-17-06
The Lewis-Clark State
College men’s basketball program has added two
more recruits for the 2006-07 season, Warrior
men’s coach Tim Walker has announced. Jon Daly,
a 6-foot-7 power forward from Modesto Community
College in California, and Brad Clincy, a 6-3
combo guard from Allen County Community College
in Iola, Kan., will play for the Warriors next
season. Both will be juniors. Daly led Modesto
CC in rebounding, averaging more than six boards
a game for coach Paul Brogan. He also scored six
points a game. “We feel that Jon’s best
basketball is ahead of him,” Walker says. “He
has the athletic ability to be an immediate
impact in the Frontier Conference. Jon will
bolster our inside game both offensively and
defensively.”
Daly, who is from Turlock, Calif., will major in
Geology at LCSC.

Signs
Foothill Point Guard

LEWISTION
Idaho -- Kevin Ochoa, a 5-foot-10 junior point
guard, has agreed to play basketball next season at
Lewis-Clark State College, Warrior coach Tim Walker
has announced.
Ochoa played last season at Foothill College in Los
Altos Hills, Calif., where he average nine points,
six assists and three steals per game. In conference
play, those averages jumped to 12 points, seven
assists and four steals a game.
"Kevin is very competitive and will do what it take
to make his teammates better," Walker says. "Kevin
is a natural leader." Ochoa, who is from Montera,
Calif., plans to major in Business at LCSC.

Comer
signs to play at Lewis-Clark State College

Robert Comer, a 6-foot-2 shooting guard from Walla
Walla Community College, has signed a letter of
intent to play basketball at Lewis-Clark State
College next season, Warrior coach Tim Walker
announced Thursday. Comer averaged 14.2 points per
game and made 82 out of 214 3-point attempts last
season. He averaged 17 points per game as a freshman
for WWCC coach Jeff Reinland. Comer is from

Warriors
season comes to a close
3-2-06
BUTTE, Mont. -- A rugged season for the Lewis-Clark
State men came to an end Thursday as the club was
handled by Rocky Mountain College 99-84 in the first
round of the Frontier Conference tournament.
The Warriors, 13-16, were "a step
slow all day," coach Tim Walker said, against a team
they beat by 16 points in Lewiston. The Battlin'
Bears shot 55 percent and had four players score in
double figures. Eric Gallinger led RMC with 27
points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field. "We just got whipped,"
Walker said. "They played exceptionally well.
