Men's Basketball
Student
Assistant Coach Gabe Hinkleman
|
Currently in
pursuit of a degree in kinesiology, student assistant coach Gabe
Hinkleman has been involved in sports for the majority of his life.
Hinkleman, a graduate of Prairie High School in Cottonwood, Idaho, attended
North Idaho College from 2001-2005. While at NIC he was heavily involved in
athletics—namely, basketball. For three years (2001-2004) he served as
student manager for men’s basketball, and during the 2004-2005 season he
acted as the team’s student assistant coach.
On the lighter
side, Hinkleman attributes his interest in coaching and sports to his
parents, his brothers Zach and Jake, and his sister Tracy. The family always
kept him busy with sports. Besides coaching, Hinkleman enjoys surfing the
web, playing video games, watching comedy movies, and, of course, playing
sports.
Coach Walker on Hinkleman:
“Gabe is a great guy to
have around. He does all the little things behind the scenes. As we all
know, if those little things don’t get done, everything comes to a halt.
Gabe is a hard worker, and our program really benefits from having him
around.”
