HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Seaside High School and graduate in 2001. In his senior year, acting as team captain, he averaged 16 points and 9 rebounds, and was named team MVP, All-League/County, and 2nd team All-state.

PERSONAL: Communication major…son of Pauline Harris.

Coach Walker on Harris:
“We were fortunate to find Jamal when we did.  He is a special player in that he does a lot of things.  He really guards well for his height.  Jamal has such a long wing span, it gives him a great advantage to guard taller players, or to make up for a mistake by someone or himself.  He is an athletic player and uses that gift on both ends of the floor.  Jamal is pretty crafty around the basket, also.  He can score a little bit, and could have the ability to make a lot of hustle plays.  We will ask him to play an inside spot for us, but will make sure we’re able to get him the ball where he can do something positive with it.”
