JUNIOR COLLEGE: Transferred from North Idaho College in 2005.

HIGH SCHOOL: During high school he was a two time 110 and 300 hurdle state champion, a two time basketball MVP, and an All-state basketball player (during his senior year). 

PERSONAL: Business Management major…son of Tim and Barb Ward. 

Coach Walker on Ward: “I have a lot or respect for this guy.  After blowing out both ACL’s in consecutive years, he has not given up on basketball.  Steve works extremely hard, and is just getting back in the swing of things with his skills and his game.  He will make hustle plays for us.  He goes to the boards so hard, and gets after every loose ball there is.  Steve has the ability to shoot the three, but he’s best when he takes one or two bounces and pulls up for a shot.  He is a good teammate, and should end up being a good leader for us.”
