LCSC men climb to No. 19;
women stay at No. 13

The Lewis-Clark State
College men’s basketball
team jumped four spots in
the NAIA Division I
basketball poll, while the
Warrior women remained at
the position as last week,
according to the two polls
released on Wednesday.
The Warrior men, riding an
eight-game win streak, moved
from No. 23 to No. 19 in
this week’s poll.
Westminster, which LCSC
defeated on the road this
season, climbed two spots to
No. 11. Westminster is 14-3
on the season, while LCSC is
14-5. Fellow Frontier
Conference members Rocky
Mountain and Montana State
University-Northern also
received votes.
On the women’s side, the
Warriors stayed at No. 13
despite winning two games on
the road to stretch their
win streak to seven. The
Warriors are 16-3 overall
and face a big showdown on
Saturday night against
Carroll College, which
climbed one spot to No. 11.
Carroll is 16-2 overall, but
trails LCSC by one game in
the conference standings.
Montana Western and MSU-Northern
women also received votes in
the poll.
The Warriors resume action
on Thursday night, playing
host to Rocky Mountain at
the LCSC Activity Center.
The women’s game is at 6
p.m., followed by the men at
8 p.m.
