WARRIORS WIN 6TH IN A ROW, BEAT SEATTLE U. 72-60

SEATTLE (Dec. 28) ­ Jason Brazier pumped in 28 points as Lewis-Clark State won its sixth straight game, 72-60 over Seattle University in the first round of the Oak Harbor Freight Lines Holiday Classic Friday night at Brougham Pavilion.

The Warriors (10-4) got eight points from Sta¹fon Lawson in the final nine minutes of the first half to build an 11-point lead at intermission. Lawson¹s second 3-pointer gave L-C State the lead for good at 15-13 and ignited a 15-4 run. Lawson finished with 15 points.

Seattle U. (2-9) was paced by the 20 of Darnell Lyons. The Redhawks, who have dropped four in a row, also got 18 from Adam Enfield.

Brazier scored 17 of his points in the second half as L-C State never allowed Seattle U. to climb closer than seven. Brazier hit 13-14 free throws and the Warriors finished 30-38, compared to 5-7 for the Redhawks.

Seattle U. faces Texas A&M Commerce Saturday at 5 in the second round of the tournament while L-C State plays host Seattle Pacific at 7.
