Lawson Named Frontier Conference Player of the Week

Lewis-Clark State College’s Sta’Fon Lawson (Lynwood, CA/Edmonds CC/Lynwood HS) was named the Frontier Conference’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending December 1st.

Lawson, a 6-4 junior forward, scored 44 points, grabbed 23 rebounds, recorded 13 steals, and dished out 11 assists in the Warriors three wins at the Midland Empire/Zurich Classic at Klamath Falls, OR, last weekend. For his efforts, Lawson was named to the All-Tournament Team. In what turned out to be the championship game on Saturday night, he scored 23 points, grabbed ten rebounds, tallied six assists, and registered five steals in leading Lewis-Clark State to a 93-79 win against the fourth-ranked team in NAIA Division II, Oregon Tech.

Bobbi Suhr of the University of Montana-Western was named the women’s basketball Player of the Week for the Frontier Conference.
