After
defeating
Westmont
6-3 in
its
opener
Monday,
the
Lewis-Clark
State
College
women’s
tennis
team
found
out why
Auburn-Montgomery
is
ranked
No. 1 in
the
country
as the
Alabama
team
defeated
the
Warriors
5-0 in
second
round of
the NAIA
national
tournament
here on
Tuesday.
The
Warriors
advanced
to the
Sweet 16
of the
tournament
before
being
swept in
doubles
play and
losing
two
singles
matches.
LCSC
also was
behind
in two
of the
remaining
four
singles
matches
when
play
ended.
Auburn-Montgomery
improves
to 28-1
overall
and
Freed-Hardman
in the
quarterfinals
on
Wednesday.
The
Warriors
finish
the
season
at
12-11.
