LCSC to hold
‘Idol’ auditions for national
anthem singers

State College will be holding its own
version of “American Idol” on Monday and
Tuesday when the college holds auditions for
national singers to perform during the 51st
annual Avista NAIA World Series as well as
for home events throughout the school year.
The tryouts
will be held Monday and Tuesday, April 9-10,
at Harris Field on the LCSC campus at 5:30-7
p.m. The tryouts are free and open to all.
No
pre-registration is necessary. Anyone
interested just needs to show up between
5:30-7 p.m. either night, but should know
the words to the American and/or the
Canadian national anthems. Contestants also
must be able to sing in front of as many as
5,000 people live.
Judges for this
event include: Polly Blasko, Executive
Director of the LC Foundation; Bert
Sahlberg, Director of Communications and
Sports Information; Michael Johnson,
Equipment/Event Manager, and Jasmine King,
an LCSC alum.
