LCSC signs
another Clarkston High harrier
3-12-07
Lewis-Clark
State College cross country coach Mike
Collins has signed a second runner from
Clarkston High School this year as Jessica
Law has signed a letter-of-intent to compete
for the Warriors next fall.
“We are excited
about having Jessica on the team,” Collins
says. “I have visited with her high school
cross country coach (Brian Denton) and he
and I both agree that she has the potential
to improve a lot in the college running
environment. Much of this has to do with
that she has come to the point of deciding
that she wants to run and understands the
commitment and sacrifice needed to be good.
She has performed well in high school, but
probably did not always reach her potential
because of her involvement in other
activities.
“I know that
she will be challenged as a runner here at
LC, she knows that as well through our
conversations and I have no doubt that she
will progressively become a better runner
and represent her high school program and
the college here well into the future.”
LCSC has
already signed Jon Kane of Clarkston for the
fall.
Law is the
fourth female runner and seventh freshman to
sign with LCSC for next fall. |
