senior Darrah Hocum, the Lewis-Clark
State women's cross country team cruised
at the Northwest Nazarene Invitational
on Saturday in Nampa, Idaho.
The
Warriors, who finished the day with 35
points, topped a field that included
Division I Boise State.
Hocum, who
is from Clarkston, was L-C's top
finisher, ending the 4-kilometer race in
sixth with a time of 15:23. Fellow
senior, Taryn Joyce-Mendive, who crossed
the line in 15:38, was right behind in
seventh place.
The
17th-ranked Warrior men didn't fare
quite as well. They finished they day in
third, behind BSU and Albertson.
Calin
Hantau paced the Warriors with a time of
18:53, good enough for fourth in the
6-kilometer event.
