OAKLAND,
Calif. – Aundrea Morrison was one of
three Warriors played with 14 points as
the Lewis-Clark State College women’s
basketball team defeated Holy Names
University 80-50 in the opening round of
the Holy Names Invitational on Friday.
LCSC,
ranked No. 10 in the country, improved
to 6-0 on the season heading into
Saturday’s contest against Dominican
University.
Morrison,
who has been sidelined most of the
season with an ankle injury, played 16
minutes in the game and finished 6-of-6
from the field and 2-of-2 at the foul
line. She also had seven rebounds.
Katya
Yancheva and Mandy Trout also had 14
points apiece for the Warriors, while
Ashley Baker added 10.
The
Warriors hit 32-of-43 shots fro the
field for 59.3 percent accuracy, while
Holy Names, an NAIA Division II school,
was 18-of-58 from the field for 31
percent. LCSC also had a 44-24
rebounding edge.
