The Lewis-Clark State
College Athletic
Department raised $250
during the Women’s
Basketball Coaches
Association’s “Think
Pink” Initiative during
Saturday night’s home
doubleheader against
Westminster.
LCSC
took $1 off admission
prices for anyone
wearing pink to the
games and then donated
$1 for every ticket
sold. LCSC had more than
2,000 people attend the
two ballgames and raised
$250 for a local cancer
charity.
LCSC coach Brian Orr
wore a pink dress shirt
during the game and
players wore pink
T-shirts following the
game. Several fans and
LCSC athletic department
officials also wore pink
during the games.

The
“Think Pink”
initiative is a global,
unified effort for the
Women's Basketball
Coaches Association's
nation of coaches to
assist in raising breast
cancer awareness on the
court, across campuses,
in communities and
beyond.
The week set aside for
this year’s initiative
is Feb. 8 - 17. There
are over 900 schools
participating in the
“Think Pink”
initiative.
