falls 71-58

Calif. -- The Lewis -Clark
State College women's
basketball team found the
going a bit rough against
the Golden State Athletic
Conference over the weekend
as the Warriors lost their
second straight game,
falling 71-58 to Hope
International University on
Saturday night.
The Warriors, ranked No. 12
in the NAIA preseason poll,
suffered their first setback
of the season on Friday by
falling to No. 16-ranked
Azusa Pacific 64-57. In that
game, LCSC scored only three
points in the final six
minutes of the contest.
LCSC is 2-2 overall.
Because of computer problems
at Hope International, no
statistics were available
after the game.
The Warriors resume action
at home on Friday by playing
host to the Staples Classic
at the LCSC Activity
Center. Friday's pairings
have Westminster against
Walla Walla University at 4
p.m., followed by LCSC and
Pacific University at 6
p.m.
To avoid having the two
Frontier Conference teams
play each other, the
pairings for the tournament
were pre-determined.
Saturday's action has
Westminster against Pacific
at 4 p.m., followed by LCSC
and Walla Walla University
at 6 p.m.
