WARRIORS SWEEP #16 MONTANA TECH Lewis-Clark Hands Tech
First Conference Loss Oct. 9, 2003
LEWISTON, Idaho - The Lewis-Clark State Volleyball team
swept #16 Montana Tech 30-27, 30-23, 30-19 to earns its fifth conference
win and 18th overall Thursday night in Warrior Gym.
The Warriors were led by senior Kim Condor's (Puyallup,
Wash.) match-high 14 kills. The 5-8 outside hitter added seven
digs in the win. Senior Amy Flaig (Missoula, Mont.) sparked LC's
offense with 12 kills and two service aces. Flaig added seven
blocks and two digs on the defensive end.
Tech, who came into the match sporting a 6-0 conference
record, was led by freshman Marrin Audet's six kills and six digs.
Middle blocker Angela Bausch added five kills in the loss.
The Warriors finished off the Orediggers behind a 42-23
advantage in kills. Senior Lindsay Iroume (Morinville, Alberta)
had another impressive outing, totaling nine kills and three service
aces.
The Warriors return home to Warrior Gym on Oct. 24 and 25
with matches against Montana Western and Westminster College. Both
start time are scheduled for 7 p.m.
