is ranked No. 18 and
women are No. 19

The Lewis-Clark State
College men’s tennis
team is ranked No. 18,
while the women’s team
is No. 19 in the NAIA
Top 25 polls that were
released on Wednesday.
Both teams won all of
their matches last week
but still slipped in the
rankings from the
previous poll, which
came out two weeks ago
prior to the Warriors’
road trip to California.
The Warrior men, 10-9
overall, fell one spot
from the previous poll,
while the women, 8-6,
fell four spots. The
Warrior men and women
continue to be the
top-ranked teams in
Region I, the
determining factor for
national tournament
berths.
The women’s team will be
back in action on
Saturday when it travels
to Spokane for a 10 a.m.
match. The Warrior men’s
next match also is at
Gonzaga, set for April
13.
Auburn University at
Montgomery, Ala., is the
top-ranked team in both
polls. On the men’s
side, Azusa Pacific,
which defeated LCSC
during the spring break
road trip two weeks ago,
is ranked No. 2. Fresno
Pacific is ranked No. 2
on the women’s side,
followed by Vanguard at
No. 3. Vanguard defeated
LCSC 9-0 in Costa Mes,
Calif., two weeks ago.
