The Lewis-Clark State College women's tennis team found the going tough in its season opener as the Warriors fell to the University of Idaho 7-0 at the LCSC Tennis Center on Saturday.

 

LCSC's No. 1 doubles team Kaylan Crane and Jamie Peck took Idaho's Silvia Irimescu and Laura Leoni down to the final game before the UI doubles team prevailed 9-8.

 

Idaho, which also was playing in its season opener, swept all singles play in straight sets.

 

The Warrior men's tennis team also faces a tough opener against an NCAA Division I team when it plays host to Gonzaga on Monday at 2 p.m.
