Getting the ball after Carroll rebounded a missed shot, Emili Woody, made the field goal, drew a foul then converted the ensuing free throw -- all with no time on the clock -- giving the Saints a 78-76 Frontier Conference victory on Thursday night.
"It was one of the best games I've seen in a while," said L-C coach Brian Orr, whose team saw a 10-game winning streak snapped and now stands 14-5 overall and 2-1 in league.
After trailing by as many as 12 in the first half, the Warriors fought back to lead by one at the break.
The Saints (17-3, 2-0) jumped ahead again in the second half, going up by as many as 11. But the Warriors again battled back, grabbing the lead with less than five minutes to play.
Orr said he was disappointed with the final outcome, noting that mental lapses early in both halves created adversity L-C had to overcome.
Carroll also outrebounded Lewis-Clark State 51-36, another costly stat for the Warriors.
Cami Kalbfleisch knocked down 21 points to pace LCSC, while fellow forward Kendra West provided 18 points and nine boards. Foot added 16 points.
Woody had a game-high 22 points for the Saints while grabbing 14 rebounds. Zoanni tallied 19 points.
