LEWISTON, ID-Lewis-Clark State College women’s basketball coach Brian Orr announced that Kim Preston (Bellingham, WA / Sehome High School), a 5-9 guard, has signed a letter of intent to attend the school and play basketball. “Kim represents the qualities that we want our basketball program to symbolize both on and off the court,” said Orr. “She is an excellent athlete with a great work ethic and a passion for the game. We feel that Kim has the potential to be a big scorer because she is an outstanding 3-point shooter who also possesses the ability to score off dribble penetration. We are excited to have her part of our program.” As a junior, Preston attended Wenatchee High School where she was a 1st Team All Big Nine Conference selection. A former teammate of current Warrior, Jade Fulbright, Preston was the 2004 Big Nine scoring leader averaging 16.7 points per game. As a senior for Sehome High School, she averaged 10.2 ppg to go along with 4.1 assist per game and was named as her team’s co-MVP. She was recently named the MVP of the Whatcom County/City All-Star game. Preston joins 6-0 post Aundrea Morrison (Hermiston, OR) who played for Walla Walla Community College and led the NWAACC in scoring (21.7 ppg) in Orr’s 2005 recruiting class.
