LCSC BASKETBALL; Warrior women ramble by Tech

BUTTE, Mont. -- After leading by a large margin in the
first half, the Lewis-Clark State women's basketball team weathered a
Montana Tech rally and claimed a Frontier Conference win Friday night.
The Warriors beat the Orediggers 77-64. LCSC improved to 21-8 overall and
10-3 in conference.
L-C held a double-digit edge early on, but that was cut to five points at
halftime. The Warriors then outscored Montana Tech 43-35 in the second half.
Junior point guard Nikki Haerling continued her strong play since
returning to the lineup, as she scored 16 points and dished off five
assists. Sophomore post Ashley Baker tallied 16 points and 11 rebounds.
The teams combined for 55 tries from 3-point range, with L-C hitting 11
bombs and the Orediggers connecting on six.
The Warriors will travel to Dillon tonight the face Montana-Western. The
winner of that will clinch the second seed in next week's conference
tournament.
