5-8-06
LEWISTON,
ID -Lewis-Clark
State College women’s basketball
coach Brian Orr announced that
Mandy
Troutt (Pullman, WA /Walla Walla
Community College/ Pullman HS),
has signed a letter of intent to
attend the school and play
basketball. She will enroll as a
junior and have two years of
eligibility.
“We are extremely
excited that Mandy has decided to
join our program,” said Orr. She
has the ability to score with her
back to the basket or facing up.
She has a great shooting touch and
we also like her ability to rebound
the ball. One of the best things
about Mandy is the fact that she is
coming from a winning program and
knows what it takes. We feel very
fortunate because we have just added
an outstanding student and proven
winner to our basketball program.”
A 6’2” post player,
Troutt played two seasons for Bobbi
Hazeltine at Walla Walla Community
College where she was a NWAACC 1st
Team All-Star selection as a
sophomore. This past season, she
led the Warriors in scoring
averaging 14.7 points per game. She
also averaged 6.6 rebounds per game
and led her team to the NWAACC
Championship game. As a freshman,
Troutt played behind LCSC’s Aundrea
Morrison, and averaged 10.8 points
and 5 rebounds per contest. The
Pullman, Washington native, was a 1st
Team All-League selection for PHS
and helped lead her team to back to
back state title games her junior
and senior seasons.
Troutt
is joining a Lewis-Clark State team
that returns four starters and
finished 26-7, while reaching the
Sweet-16 at the NAIA National
