Baker named Frontier Conference player of the week

Lewiston, ID- Four day’s following her record setting game, Ashley Baker was named Frontier Conference player of the week.  Announced Wednesday afternoon by Conference Sports Information Director Wally Feldt, the 6’ 3” junior post from Omak, WA earned the award by averaging 21.5 points, 16.5 rebounds, two blocks and 3.5 steals per game, while connecting on 55% of her field goal attempts.  With her 43 rebounds on the weekend, Baker became the school’s all-time leader in rebounding with 759, overtaking the previous mark set by Kendra West of 750.

The Warriors are back in action December 30 and 31, as they host Thompson-River University inside the Activity Center.  Game times are set for 6 p.m. Friday night and 2 p.m. Saturday.
