honors LCSC’s Troutt

For
the second time this
season, Lewis-Clark
State College senior
post Mandy Troutt has
been named the Frontier
Conference’s Player of
the Week for women’s
basketball.
Troutt, a 6-foot-2
senior from Pullman,
Wash., had two strong
games at the Wells Fargo
Invitational last
weekend at the LCSC
Activity Center. Troutt
scored a team-high 22
points and grabbed seven
rebounds in an 81-73
setback to No. 10-ranked
Azusa Pacific on
Friday.
Troutt then helped the
No. 14-ranked Warriors
bounced back with a
98-63 win over the
College of Idaho with 16
points and seven
rebounds.
For the weekend, Troutt
was 14-of-28 from the
field and 10-of-14 at
the foul line. She was
named to the
all-tournament team.
Troutt has had either
double digits in points
or rebounds in every
game but one this
season.
Clinton Shelton of
Montana State-Northern
won the men’s Player of
the Week award. Also
nominated was Mike Gordy
of LCSC.
