straight week,
Lewis-Clark State
College senior post
Mandy Trout earned Most
Valuable Player honors
at a tournament.
Troutt was named the MVP
of the Menlo College
Thanksgiving Classic,
which was announced
Monday by the Menlo
College Athletic
Department.
Troutt finished the
weekend with 31 points
and 18 rebounds. Troutt
notched a double-double
(17 points, 13 rebounds)
against Concordia
University-Irvine and is
second in the NAIA
standings in offensive
rebounds at 5.25 per
game.
Also representing the
Warriors on the
All-Tournament Team is
junior Breianna Gaines.
who shot 60 percent from
behind the 3-point arc
(6 for 10). Coming off
the bench, Gaines
finished the weekend
with 24 points and four
rebounds.
Joining Troutt and
Gaines on the team are
Menlo’s Kepua Lee, Berea
College’s junior Candy
Walls, and
Concordia-Irvine’s
sophomore Kayanna
Nichols.
Lewis-Clark State earned
two victories in the
Classic, a 74-46 win
over Concordia in the
opener on Saturday and a
70-42 victory over Menlo
College on Sunday.
