I can’t believe we are
already a month into
practicing/conditioning.
It has begun: the hard
work, the endless
running, weight lifting,
etc. Although we may
think it is rough now,
it all pays off in the
end.
We are returning
everyone from last
year’s team (except for
our two seniors, Kim and
Sadie) with three new
players: Annie, Lauren,
and Ashley. Our
chemistry is amazing and
we all seem to really
care about one another.
One of the most
important concepts of a
championship team is
chemistry, and we sure
have a lot of it. This
is the year we go all
the way, this is no
looking back.
Basketball started up
the very first day of
school. We met in the
team room and were
distributed our
notebooks and the rules
and regulations of
playing for this
program. Coach always
emphasizes our tradition
and how hard work is the
basis for any good
team. To tie the hard
work into the picture,
we were on the track
running our mile the
second day of school
bright and early in the
morning. 400-meter
sprints, scrimmaging,
defensive drills, and
any other exercise to
prepare us for our
season were tossed in.
Although during the
drills we may wish we
were somewhere else, in
the end we are so
thankful for every bit
of it.
Practice starts Thursday
and we are so excited to
get coach back in the
gym and shape our team
into the best, once
again. September flew
by so fast, so what is
stopping the pace of
October? We are all
making the best of every
day because it goes by
so fast. This season
will be a special one
and I don’t want to miss
any part of it.
