2011-12: Will redshirt this season to keep sophomore eligibility status for 2012-13.

 

2010-11: Played in 27 games as a freshman and averaged 1.2 points per game…she had 12 steals and nearly half of her shot attempts were from the 3-point line…hit 5-of-15 from the arc and 6-of-8 at the foul line…had season high of six points against Cal Maritime, which was the only game she had two or more field goals in…also had season-highs of two steals (three times), two assists, and two rebounds (three times)…averaged 4.1 minutes of playing time in the 27 games she saw action in.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Had an outstanding prep career with the Panthers and was a four-year letter winner in both basketball and track...in basketball, she was a four-time all-Blue Mountain league selection and was the MVP her senior year...played in the Washington All-State Game and was the MVP of all-state games played in both Spokane and Seattle...was the Seattle Times and WIAA Athlete of the Week during Feb. 21-27 as a senior and won the Taco John’s KLEW Prep Athlete of the Week award...holds the school career scoring record with 1,581 points...helped team to league and district titles her senior year...in track, she competed at the state meet all four seasons and helped team to district title all four years...as a senior, she placed first in the triple jump, long jump, 400 relay and 800 relay at district and went on to place fifth at state in the triple jump and seventh in the long jump...as a junior and a sophomore, her 400 and 800 relay teams won the league and district titles...she qualified for the state meet as a freshman in the 800 and 1,600 relays, as well as the 100 and 400 meters...also won numerous academic honors, including WIAA Distinguished Scholastic Award and 2010 KLEW Academic All Stars.

PERSONAL: Kinesiology major...parents are Jim and Melinda Barnes...has two sisters, Janelle and Amanda, and one brother, Cody... brother played baseball at Walla Walla Community College... born Jan. 21, 1992 in Lewiston...was also the Scholastic and Spirit Award winner in the Asotin Junior Miss competition...hobbies are playing sports, bike riding, swimming, and being with her family.
