Bond to play for LCSC
volleyball team

LEWISTON, Idaho – Whitney Bond, a 5-foot-7
defensive specialist from Twin Falls, has
enrolled at Lewis-Clark State College and
will play for the Warrior women’s volleyball
team next fall.
Bond,
who graduated from Twin Falls High School in
2005, played her freshman year in college at
North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene as a
setter. She then transferred to the College
of Southern Idaho for 2006 where she was a
defensive specialist. In both seasons, her
teams placed second in the conference
standings.
Bond is
the first recruit signed by the Warriors
since last season. The Warriors only had two
seniors on the team and both were primarily
liberos.
Bond was
a track, basketball and volleyball standout
at Twin Falls. She was the volleyball team’s
MVP her junior and senior season, and also
earned honorable mention region honors. In
track, she was a member of the state
championship 1,600-meter relay team.
She also
had a 3.95GPA in high school and kept it
above 3.50 at both NIC and CSI.
Bond is
daughter of Wade and Tami Bond and plans to
major in Computer Science at LCSC. |
