Albertson College of Idaho contained the LCSC Warriors' offense with powerful pitching and a relentless offense of its own to win the Far West Region baseball championship in Caldwell, Idaho, Tuesday afternoon. Albertson pitcher Levi Lacey threw a masterful one-hitter, the lone hit a home run to Ryan Luther, while striking out 10 to pick up the win.
Offensively, the Coyotes hit four home runs and picked up a total of 12 hits in the contest. LCSC's season comes to a close with an overall record of 40-16. Albertson, making its first-ever appearance at the NAIA World Series in Tulsa, Okla., is in the midst of its best season ever. The Coyotes will take a 22-game winning streak and an overall record of 51-7 into the national tournament. (Box score to be added when available.)
