Involvement in the
following organizations allows students to actively
participate in networking with fellow students and with
the business community.
|
|
-Business Student Organization (BSO) |
|
|
BSO
members meet every other week throughout the semester
(check events calendar for meeting dates and
times). Activities include participation in the annual
Leadership Conference, the BSO golf tournament, the
shadowing program, and a variety of fundraising ventures
that allow students to attend conferences and
participate in other organizational activities. The
shadowing program allows students to get a better idea
of the day-to-day operations of specific jobs in which
they may be interested. |
|
- Investment Club |
| |
The
Investment Club offers students practical experience in
stocks and bonds investment. Portfolio managers and
brokers from the community are invited to attend
bi-weekly meetings and give their insight into student
investment strategies. The club currently manages
$50,000. (Check events calendar for meeting dates and
times.) |

The purpose of the Accounting Club is
to provide Accounting Emphasis students with the
opportunity to meet with one another and to benefit from
presentations from members of the community involved in
accounting as a career field. The club is designed as a
networking opportunity for students, and meets twice per
month. Guest speakers provide students with various
