High School Juried Arts Invitational opens Friday
The second annual High School Juried Arts Invitational will open Friday, April 13, at the Lewis-Clark State College Center for Arts & History, located at 415 Main St. in Lewiston.
The exhibition, which runs through April 27, will feature an opening reception at 5-8 p.m. on Friday. The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Six schools are participating in the Invitational – North Idaho Children’s Home, Jenifer Junior High, Sacajawea Junior High, and Lewiston High School of Lewiston, Clarkston High School, and Genesee High School.
The work of the students has been selected by their art teachers, and then juried at the Center for Arts and History for selection into the main gallery exhibition. The City of Lewiston’s Youth Arts Commission provided additional support and also will coordinate the entertainment for the opening.
The exhibit includes both two dimensional and three dimensional works. In addition the current Junior High Art Exhibition in the upstairs gallery will continue through Saturday.
Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
