Alumni Association to hold function on Thursday
The Lewis-Clark State College Alumni Association will holds its annual meeting and awards ceremony on Thursday, May 10, at the LCSC Center for Arts and History, located at 415 Main St., in Lewiston.
The annual meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and is open to all LCSC alumni. The awards presentation and reception, which is free and open to the public, will follow at 6 p.m.
The LCSC Alumni Association will honor seven individuals during the evening. Lillian Martin and Mike Mitchell will receive the Alumna and Alumnus of the Year, respectively, while Natalie (nee Munn) Holman and Spencer Branting will receive the Young Alumna and Alumnus of the Year.
The Aletha Pabst Award, which pays tribute to someone who is not an alumnus but has made significant contributions to the college, will go to Mike Ripley.
Greg Rish, a teacher at Cedar Valley Elementary in the Kent School District in Washington, will receive the Educator of the Year award, while the Marion Shinn Lifetime Achievement Award, a new award for 2007, will go to the man who the award is named after, Marion Shinn.
