LCSC women's golf teams adds recruit

Alana Norris, who is from Nanaimo, British Columbia, has signed a letter of intent to play for the Lewis-Clark State College women’s golf team this fall.

Norris, who will be a freshman at LCSC, graduated from high school in 2006 and spent the last year working on her game, which included playing in several tournaments in both B.C. and throughout the Pacific Northwest.

LCSC women’s golf coach Steve Tilden says he expects Norris to immediately compete for a top five varsity roster spot.

“She has a tremendous upside and is a student of the game,” Tilden says. “She has spent many hours practicing and working with a swing coach. She has been very successful in the tournament she has played in. We are very fortunate that Alana chose to come to Lewis-Clark State College.”

Tilden said Norris also was being recruited by Lindenwood University, Northwood University, the University of British Columbia, and the University of Alberta.
