Keefe to give concert on Thursday at Amphitheater

The Native American Club at Lewis-Clark State College will hold a concert featuring Julia Keefe on Thursday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Student Union Building Amphitheater on the LCSC campus.

Keefe is a Nez Perce Tribal member who was recently named outstanding vocalist at the 2007 Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival at the University of Idaho.

A resident of Spokane and daughter of Joanne Kauffman and Tom Keefe, this will be Julia’s first concert in the Lewis-Clark Valley.

Tickets can be purchased for $5 at Native American & Minority Student Services Office, located in Room 214 of Reid-Centennial Hall on the LCSC campus, or at the event.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit The 13th Annual Northwest Native American Basketweavers Conference, which will be held Oct. 5-7 in Lewiston at the Clearwater River Casino.
