Center features work of McLachlan and LCSC's Davis

Currently on exhibition at the Lewis-Clark State College Center for Arts and History Main Gallery; Liela McLachlan “Big Man” drawings and photographs. In Gallery II, oil paintings by LC creative writing Professor Claire Davis. Also in Gallery II, the mixed media work/ and jewelry making of Nannette Pyron from Moscow.

Liela McLachlans’s work “Big Man” represents large format drawings of a large man, often in small spaces. She looks at the work from physical and psychological perspectives, and brings a sense of intimacy to the images. Her beautiful mark making and use of dark and light contribute to a strong first exhibition for this emerging artist from Genesee.

The exhibition will be open through Sept. 22. Gallery Hours are 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Currently the gift shop is featuring additional work by both Davis, and Pyron.
