Exhbit opens tonight at LCSC Center for Arts & History
A collaborative exhibit called “Old Symbols New Visions” will be on display at the Lewis-Clark State College Center for Arts & History, opening on Thursday, Oct. 4, and running through Nov. 3.
The Center for Arts & History and the Nez Perce Arts Council are collaborating on the exhibit, which features contemporary work by 12 Nez Perce artists working across new mediums
The exhibition will consist of prints from the Crow Shadow Institute, works in glass, the inclusion of Sarah Penney’s paintings, and the work of bronze sculptor Doug Hyde.
The exhibition is made possible through the efforts of LCSC State College Center for Arts and History, and the Wallowa Band Nez Perce Trail Interpretive Center; Crow Shadow Institute, and the Nez Perce Arts Council.
A formal Opening reception will be held with the artists on Thursday at 6-9 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
