LCSC to explore different e-mail systems for students

Lewis-Clark State College will look at three alternative student e-mails systems on the next three Fridays to determine what system will best fit the needs of students, faculty and staff.

The current e-mail system for that faculty and staff uses will not change. Only Warriormail accounts could change.

The webinars will all be held at 3 p.m. in Room 203 of the Administration Building. On Oct. 12, Campus Cruiser will be previewed. On Oct. 19 it will be Windows Live@EDU, and on Oct. 26, it will be Google Campus.

Students have expressed frustration with the current e-mail system and a committee has been established to look into different e-mail systems.

Anyone can attend the webinars and then share ideas with committee members. Any comments or suggestions should be made to committee members. The committee members, and the groups the represent, are:

a. Faculty – Holly Patterson-McNeill (Technology Advisory Group Co-Chair), Marilyn Heckendorn(Technology Advisory Group Co-Chair), and Craig Steenberg (Faculty member).
b. Students – Matt Smith (ASB President), Brenn Frei (Senate Majority Leader), Jimmie O’Harra (Media Relations Director), Ashley Anderson(ASLCSC Coeur d’Alene Executive Chair), and Bryce Kammers (writer for the Pathfinder)
c. Alumni – Renee Olsen (Director of Alumni and Community Relations)
d. Staff – Ryan Gill and Carolyn Quintero
