Viewing of the Comet Holmes is Saturday

11/06/07

The Lewis-Clark State College Department of Natural Science, in conjunction with the Lewiston Astronomy Society, invites the general public to a free viewing of the spectacular new comet – Comet Holmes– at the LCSC Observatory at the Lewiston Roundup Grounds on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m.

Comet Holmes is visible as a fuzzy star in the constellation Perseus; however, when seen through the large telescope at the observatory, it is amazingly large and bright.

Come to the observatory or scan the constellation Perseus with binoculars for what is billed as the brightest comet in 10 years.
