CEC offers assertiveness course and free computer

LCSC Continuing Education & Community Events offers Get Assertive! as part of its Online Non-Credit Course catalog. The 12-lesson, 6-week course costs $79 and leads you in discovering how easy it is to avoid being treated badly by others.

Discover how you lose power when you talk and how to gain it back. Find out the secrets to defusing anger and avoiding criticism. Gain the skills to be assertive with family members, friends, bosses, co-workers, professionals and clerks. It's your turn to speak out!

The start dates for the course are Jan. 16, Feb. 20, March 19, and April 16.

Now through March, every 2007th student that registers for an online, non-credit course will win a free laptop and their choice of three Vista or Office 2007 courses from Ed2Go.

CECE offers over 300 online non-credit classes in a variety of subjects covering Computer Applications, Language, Art, History, Writing, Parenting, and Personal Development. Complete Online Non-Credit course listings are available on the web at www.lcsc.edu/ce.
