“An Irish Tea” fundraiser on March 8
The Lewis-Clark State College Center for Arts & History will hold “An Irish Tea” fundraiser on March 8 at 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the galleries of the Center, located at 415 Main St. in Lewiston.
Tea-goers will enjoy a full Irish Tea complete with Celtic dancers from Festival Dance & Performing Arts from Moscow and Lewiston. A menu of seven items will be available, including Shamrock Tea Sandwiches, Sweet and Savory Ham Tea Sandwiches, Corned Beef Canapés, Carrot and Rosemary Scones, Pot of Gold Tea Cakes, Pistachio Cutouts, and Irish Mint Dreams. Tickets for the event are $17 per person and can be purchased at the Centerpiece Museum Store in the Center for Arts & History, at the Owl Pharmacy on Southway, and on the LCSC campus in the Community Programs office, located in Room 51 of the Sam Glenn Complex.
Festival Dance & Performing Arts continues its effort to bring the arts to the community by providing more than a dozen dancers from its Moscow and Lewiston academies. The dancers will act as models and performers throughout the galleries during An Irish Tea.
The Center’s annual tea was moved from December to March to provide a fresh face for the event.
“We are very pleased to see this event take on new life with a vibrant theme. The Center’s tea has typically been a holiday tradition, and feedback about the change has been very positive,” says Kathy L. Martin, Dean of Community Programs at Lewis-Clark State College.
Proceeds from an Irish Tea will directly benefit the Center for Arts & History, a department of Community Programs at LCSC.
The Center for Arts & History is a regional resource for art, history and cultural events that actively support diversity. For more information call 792-2243 or visit www.lcsc.edu/museum .
