LCSC to present play “The Good Body” on March 5-8

02-19-08

The Lewis-Clark State College Mainstage Theatre Productions, along with the Alpha Psi Omega, Drama Club, will perform “The Good Body” on March 5-8 at 7:30 p.m. at the LCSC Silverthorne Theatre.

The play, which was written by “The Vagina Monologues” author Eve Ensler, will be directed by Valerie Bramell and produced by Chris Aronen, both students at LCSC. The play features Eve and other women in a journey of self discovery as they move away from societal expectations of the perfect body.

Also, following the March 7 performance, a talk-back session with guest speakers from the Lewiston-Clarkston area will be held and will address issues raised by the play.

Tickets for the play are $5 for adults, $3 for non-LCSC students, and free for LCSC students with a valid ID card. Tickets will be sold at the door only and the theatre will open at 7 p.m. for each performance.

The play contains adult language and may not be appropriate for small children.

Proceeds from ticket sales go to the LCSC Theatre program and future shows that will educate and enrich the lives of the students of LCSC as well as the community at large.

Alpha Psi Omega Drama Club is the club for all students at LCSC interested in the dramatic arts.
