LCSC basketball teams to honor seniors on Saturday

The Lewis-Clark State College men's and women's basketball teams will play their final home games of the season on Saturday night and will honor 10 seniors during "Senior Night" at the LCSC Activity Center.

Both teams will take on Montana Western, with the women's game starting at 6 p.m. and the men's game following at 8 p.m.

The LCSC women have four seniors on the team, including three four-year players - Jade Fulbright of Wenatchee, Katie Hart of Ellensburg, and Vanessa West of Jerome - along with Mandy Troutt of Pullman.

Six men will be playing their final game at the Activity Center, including Caleb Orr from Deary, who walked on to the program five years ago. The remaining five are all transfers - Mike Gordy of Denver, Rob Comer of Buhl, Justin Fraser of Clarkston, Karl Stedman of Sitka, Alaska, and Jonathan Daly of Turlock, California.

The players will be honored prior to the start of each game.

Both teams also are in the thick of the title chase in the Frontier Conference. The Warrior women are 10-1 in conference play and 21-4 overall, while Carroll College is 9-2 and Westminster is 8-3. Montana Western is tied for fourth at 4-7.

On the men's side, the Warriors still control their destiny despite being tied for second. The log-jam standings have Rocky Mountain in first place at 9-2, while Westminster and LCSC are 8-3. Carroll and Montana State-Northern are 7-4. Montana Western is 2-9.
