LCSC wins two more conference titles
Congratulations to the Warrior men’s and women’s basketball teams for winning both the Frontier Conference regular season and tournament titles this season and helping Lewis-Clark State College continue its phenomenal year in the conference.
So far during the 2007-08 academic year, the Warriors have won conference titles in all five conference sports it has competed in. The Warriors won the Frontier Conference regular season and tournament titles in volleyball, and then raced away with the titles in both men’s and women’s cross country. Entering the spring portion of the golf schedule, both LCSC teams stand second to Rocky Mountain, and with just two conference tournaments remaining, it will be tough for both L-C teams to catch Rocky, especially on the women’s side.
The only other sport the conference sponsors is football and LCSC does not have a football program. Still, with five titles in five sports, it appears the Warrior athletic program is well on its way to claiming its third straight Bandy Award, which goes to the conference school that accumulates the most points based on its league finish in each sport.
