Professional Development Day is April 23

Surviving the Multi-Generational Workplace is the theme for this year’s annual Lewis-Clark State College Workforce Trainings’ Professional Development Day on April 23 at 9 a.m.-3:15 p.m. at the Clarkston Quality Inn.

Kathee Tifft and Carolyn Birmingham, both from the University of Idaho, will be the guest speakers for the day. Tifft will discuss the differences between generations and how a person’s own generation will affect the individual and that individual’s actions.

Birmingham will direct participants through activities with learning tools to use to deal with conflicts and proactively prevent issues caused by generational differences.

All participants also will be entered in drawing for door prizes, which include two overnight excursion packages, restaurant gift certificates, movie and golf passes, a night on the town with a limo and dinner, six theme baskets, and more. The event also includes an Italian buffet lunch.

Cost for the event is $60 before April 9 and $65 after that day. For LCSC students and employees, the registration fee is $38
